Zero College Facilitates Inter-Industry Exchanges for Zero Carbon Future Opportunities

2022.08.26
Zero College was founded by the TDEA (Taiwan Digital Enterprise Alliance) to help Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises overcome zero-carbon transformation difficulties and achieve zero carbon emission goals, through inter industry exchanges of relevant innovations.  To that end, its principal, Mr. Sheng-Yung Yang, brought a selection of students to Cymmetrik this August for a tour.  Through workshops, seminars, and factory tours, the students learned much about Cymmetrik's sustained development experiences, business development strategies, and print application innovations.  The on-site event was highly interactive and provided great learning opportunities.

The day's events opened with welcome speeches from Zero College's Principal and Cymmetrik's President, followed by a presentation from Cymmetrik's GM, Alex Mei, in which he shared Cymmetrik's vision for new business development and its strategies for corporate transformation. He also revealed how Cymmetrik plans to reinvent itself through digitalization, innovation, sustainable development, and globalization.  After that, Mr. Devin Tzeng, Cymmetrik's Director of Business Development, further detailed Cymmetrik's sustainable development experiences, from international advocacy and laws/regulations to the various impetuses from name brand clients and the market.  Mr. Tseng also introduced Cymmetrik's newly established (early 2022) Sustainable Development Office (SDO) and covered how it's integrating the Group's internal and extrinsic resources to push 5 primary sustainable development strategies: green energy, green designs, green production, green living, and green digitalization.  Cymmetrik continues to expand its sustainable materials database, and alongside its customers, marches toward a carbon-free future.

The day continued with a presentation from Ms. Alice Chou, Project Manager from Cymmetrik subsidiary Cymsiotek.  Mr. Zhou showcased Cymsiotek, how it focuses on the O2O sales model, and how it established a Unique ID (UID) platform for precision sales and marketing and for application across various scenarios, with its two major products, RFID and QR Code, focusing respectively on B2B and B2B2C markets to provide clients with comprehensive solutions.  Following Zhou, AKIMIA co-founder Dr. Nausicaa Lee introduced the Akima microcurrent face mask, a revolutionary landmark product that is the combined brainchild of professional printing, industrial design, and medical engineering expertise.  Its innovative design uses print technology to etch its special power-generating material onto face masks for a unique microcurrent face mask that has since become a breath of fresh air in the modern-day cosmetics industry.  Together, these two new startup companies showcased how special printing, when applied creatively, can create wonderful new possibilities.  Indeed, the presentations sparked some real highlights in this day of interdisciplinary exchange.

To cap off the event, Cymmetrik arranged a tour through the production lines of its on-site factory, where the students gained a deeper understanding of the production process as well as the art and skills of printing.  The event turned out to be a wonderful day of exchange between Cymmetrik and representatives from various industries.  The visiting delegation was deeply impressed with Cymmetrik's advanced innovations, and both sides shared experiences, bridging industries and gaining greater hope and motivation for further advancement.  In the end, all felt more optimistic than ever about enhancing their competitiveness through sustainable development and creating a carbon-free new future, making life more beautiful than ever.
