This year on March 21st, Cymmetrik Education Foundation signed a joint memorandum with the New Taipei City Government Education department, Skills for U International, New Taipei City Municipal Yingge Vocational High School, and Jiu-Fang Industrial High School pledging support for this year's Industry-Youth Collaboration Program. This year’s program will be split into three phases: an onsite corporate visit, design competition, and a summer internship position for six students.
Cymmetrik held the first phase this year’s program on May 15th at the Cymmetrik Taipei Factory. Both students and teachers from Yingge Vocational High School and Jiu-Fang Industrial High School were in attendance to learn more about Cymmetrik and its innovative products. Students were greeted by Cymmetrik’s Chairman Calvin Tsai, who graciously welcomed the students to the event and encouraged students to let their imagination help them step outside their comfort zone in the pursuit of creativity.
The visit was committed to giving students the best possible learning experience, including a guide tour of the factory and the exhibition center, industry lectures, and innovative product demonstration. After a brief company introduction, Marketing and Sustainability Manager Eric Lee guided students through a several hands-on demonstrations of Cymmeitrk’s incredible innovative products. Among them was Linda Wang, PR Specialist at Cymmetrik's subsidiary xTrans, who demonstrated the AKIMIA the microcurrent facial mask, with students being able to try for themselves and measure the electrical current with a digital multimeter. Devin Tseng, Manager of Marketing and Sustainability, also presented the eco-friendly recyclable low-carbon coffee packaging that, through the usage of Cymmetrik’s EcoStrip technology, are able to be recycled through warm water exposure alone. By learning about these products, students gained insight into Cymmetrik’s innovative everyday product designs and advances in green technology.
For the on-site tour, Students were guided around company facilities, including Cymmetrik’s Taipei factory and Cympotek’s min-factory, one of Cymmetrik’s innovative subsidiary. Through listening to the printing professionals, students gained a deeper understanding of the different printing technologies and their applications in everyday products. Furthermore, students could interact with experts and gain insight into the operation of equipment and product processing, contributing to a valuable learning experience.
With the event concluded, students, faculty, and Cymmetrik staff gathered for a group picture to commemorate the events successful completion. Students will return in June to take part of a design competition, which will be judged by Cymmetrik personal.
